TMSG: A Navy Vet Saved A Woman From Her Sinking Car

A Navy vet jumped into a body of freezing cold water to save a woman from her sinking car!

According to police the driver of the car struck a guard rail and landed in the Passaic River. She was able to crawl out of her back window and stand on the roof of her car as her car started to sink.

Michael James, the vet, told ABC7 that other drivers pulled over but no one was jumping in to help her. James said, “There really wasn’t even a second of deciding, I just went, didn’t even think about it… she was good, she was panicking a little at first, I tried to get her to calm down, but she was good, she listened and helped me help her.”

Both the driver and the James were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries but were both treated for mild hypothermia.
