Eric Church threw fans a curve ball during a recent stop on his Double Down Tour. The country superstar performed a cover of Snoop Dogg’s 1994 smash “Gin and Juice” Saturday (February 23) in Cincinnati, Ohio. “I mentioned earlier the era that I grew up,” Eric says in a clip of the performance posted online, “and this next part is a big part of that era.”
The “Some of It” singer has been taking song suggestions from the crowds at each of his Double Down Tour stops and performing one he and his band have never played before. He’s also already covered Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” as well as Waylon Jennings’ “I Ain’t Living Long Like This,” during which he forgot some of the words.
Eric’s Double Down Tour will play two shows on back-to-back nights in each city it visits. He rolls into Kansas City next on March 1 and 2. The trek continues through the spring.
