At around 7:10 a.m. on February 24th, police were dispatched to the Stonewall Overlook at 2215 Skyline Drive for a report of a female that was slumped over in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. On arrival, police located a single vehicle in the parking lot, which was running. Police observed a single female occupant unconscious in the driver’s seat. Police knocked on the window several times before she awoke. She was identified as 40-year-old Jodie Hopkins of Allen. The responding officer noted the smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person. It was determined she was too impaired to be safely operating the motor vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up an open liquor container. Hopkins was placed under arrest for DUI and Open Container in a Motor Vehicle. She was transported to the Pennington County Jail.
