Rapid City police are currently investigating the unattended death of a male subject in his mid-30s who was located in Thompson Park.
Shortly before 11:00 a.m. on February 22nd, police were called to the park for a report of an unconscious male subject in the picnic shelter. On arrival, police located the man and determined he was obviously deceased.
The male’s identity is being withheld until proper notification of next-of-kin can take place. At this time, the investigation has not turned up any signs of foul play, however an autopsy will be scheduled to determine the man’s manner and cause of death
