Hot off their Christmas celebrations at Sandringham House, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly snuck away from London for a secret babymoon. It’s rumored that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex opted for a quick getaway to celebrate New Year’s Eve, as opposed to staying home like Kate Middleton and Prince William.
According to The Daily Mail, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have “gone on holiday” before they welcome their first child sometime this spring. Since the trip was supposed to be secret, it’s not known where, exactly, the parents-to-be decided to ring in 2019.
This isn’t the first time the Royal couple have decided to travel for New Year’s celebrations, either. Just last year they reportedly traveled to Monaco for the holiday while they were engaged. A source at the time revealed, “Harry and Meghan were somewhere very private and very expensive. Monte Carlo is party central at this time of the year, and the word is that the British royals really enjoyed themselves. The fun could well have been laid on by Prince Albert, who is a close friend of Harry’s.”
It’s unlikely the Royals will ever reveal where they spent their New Year’s babymoon, though it’s still super sweet they decided to opt for a quick vacation before their baby arrives. While Meghan’s due date isn’t known, most couples who babymoon do so sometime in the mother’s second trimester. Meghan also gave a hint over the Christmas holiday that they’re “nearly there” when it comes to the baby’s arrival. It sure seems like the next Royal baby could be arriving sooner than expected.
