Starbucks Drops Brand New Holiday Drink Just In Time For Christmas

Starbucks is expanding their holiday beverage lineup with the brand new Juniper Latte. According to the coffee chain, the perfectly wintry drink has “a hint of juniper and sage, an evergreen aroma and citrus notes,” which basically sounds like Christmas in a cup TBH. It also contains juniper syrup and “a dusting of pine-citrus sugar.” So, who’s willing to bet this is what Santa sips on while he cruises around the world delivering presents on Christmas Eve?

Starbucks first incorporated juniper into their beverages last year exclusively at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle. That special drink included “Starbucks Reserve Christmas coffee, steamed milk, and a syrup with dried juniper berries, sage, and mandarin, then topped off with latte art and a sparkle of juniper sugar.”  At the time, Starbucks described the Juniper Latte as “a sleigh ride over the river and through the woods, with a woody aroma and flavors of sweet mandarin and mulled spices.”

Though this updated version of the Juniper Latte is a little bit different from its predecessor, it will conjure up winter wonderlands just the same.

According to the Starbucks Newsroom, though, the Juniper Latte is only available at participating stores in the U.S. starting today (Nov. 27) for a limited time, while supplies last. So, if you’re looking to try this holiday latte you better get to Starbucks ASAP, just in case it runs out. If you can’t snag a Juniper Latte, Starbucks has five other holiday-themed drinks, including Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Gingerbread Latte, and Eggnog Latte.c
