How To Stream Global Citizen Festival Mandela 100 Live From Johannesburg

Coinciding with the annual UN General Assembly meetings this year is Global Citizen’s “Mandela 100” campaign which honors the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela in his centenary year. And on December 2nd, The Global Citizen Festival Mandela 100 concert will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa at FNB Stadium.

Taking the stage at the Johannesburg mega-concert is a lineup of some of music’s biggest superstars from across a number of genres, including BeyoncéJAY-ZPharrell Williams & Chris MartinEd SheeranEddie VedderKacey MusgravesUsherWizkidCassper NyovestD’BanjFemi KutiSho MadjoziTiwa Savage, and more.

Music fans will be able to stream the festival live on December second via iHeartRadio’s Global Citizen Festival Radio station at 9pm ET, as well as watch on Global Citizen’s official YouTube channel.

A few of the festival’s performers have spoken about their upcoming performances at the festival, which will honor the life and impact of Nelson Mandela. Via Global Citizen’s Instagram, Eddie Vedder said, “It is such an honor to be given the chance to head to South Africa to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s Incomparable legacy.”

Nigerian singer D’Banj remembers of Mandela’s legacy, “Thirteen years ago, Nelson Mandela called on us to be the ‘great generation’ that would end extreme poverty, injustice and inequality.” Similarly, South African rapper Sho Madjozi said, “Without the sacrifices of great South Africans like Nelson Mandela, I wouldn’t be able to live the life I lead today.”
