Drug Call

At around 2:35 p.m. on November 22nd, police were dispatched to 1220 E. Saint Patrick Street for a report of a female in a vehicle who appeared to be injecting herself with drugs. The reporting party indicated that the woman the passed out in the driver’s seat of the car. On arrival, police located the woman who was unconscious in the vehicle, which was running. Police woke the woman up and identified her as 31-year-old Carrissia Anderson of Black Hawk. It was determined she had an active warrant and she was asked to step out of the vehicle. Following a DUI investigation, it was determined she was too impaired to operate a motor vehicle. A search of her vehicle turned up a number of pills and syringes. Police determined the pills to be various forms of controlled substances. Anderson was placed under arrest. After transport to the Pennington County Jail, police located a white powdery substance on the seat in the back of the patrol car where Anderson had been. This substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine. All-in-all, Anderson was placed under arrest for three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, DUI, and her Warrant.
