Mic Drop of the Week- Marco Eguchi- Bull Ride gone bad, but a score of 94!

Las Vegas is the place to be this week if you like to watch some bull riding. It’s the PBR 2018 National Championship and they are working through the rounds, tallying up the points and riding some crazy mean bulls leading up to Sunday. My  husband and I have tried to catch the events each weekend leading up to this competition but this is the week.

Last night, round 2 was sailing by, a few cowboys were lucky enough to last the full 8 seconds, I  mean it’s only 8 seconds but who could manage to hang on to a mad animal that weighs close to a ton..I mean, 8 seconds is plenty. As the evening progressed, the announcers continued to check in on the bulls too, and one in particular, Spotted Demon was his name. Enough said. Yeah, this dude was a bad you know what and the cowboy who drew him to ride, it wasn’t the first time they had met so there was a lot of build up to say the least.

So, Marco Eguchi stepped up to ride, and once the gate was open, the energy was electric. 8 seconds takes a lot longer than you would think as this mad beast spun, bucked and attempted everything in its power to toss Marco, but the buzzer rang and he did! But almost instantly after the 8 seconds was up, Marcos face met Spotted Demons left horn and knocked him out cold! It happened so quickly you can barely catch it in the video, but take a look. And admire this crazy ride! On top of it all, Marco scored a career high of 94 points!

Marco had an interview after being released from the PBR Sports Medicine room, you can read it all HERE, but he was diagnosed with a concussion and at this time is questionable for tonight’s Round 3.

My heart goes out to all these cowboys who risk their lives for our entertainment, it is amazing to witness. Tonight, yes I plan on tuning in again and I am sending my best wishes to each and every crazy cowboy who rides tonight. Best of luck boys!
