Kelsea Ballerini Details The Big Things Happening In Her Life

Joy Week 2018 kicked off Monday (October 8) on the Bobby Bones Show. The week is dedicated to encouraging listeners of the show to choose joy, spread happiness, and do good things for others. The week also brings in live performances from country music stars to raise money for military members.

Kelsea Ballerini was the second artist to come in for an hour-long performance with her full band. They performed Ballerini’s hits “I Hate Love Songs,” “Peter Pan,” “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Legends,” plus a cover of “Landslide”and the first live, acoustic performance of her new song with the Chainsmokers called “This Feeling.” You can catch snippets of these performances on our Instagram Story and IGTV.

During her hour-long performance, Ballerini also shared some details about her recent exciting news. Ballerini will be heading out on tour in 2019 with Kelly Clarkson and she says Clarkson asked her to join her on the tour through an email. She also brought up the collaboration with The Chainsmokers saying they reached out to her after her covers of their songs “Paris” and “Closer,” and when she was able to do a song with them she recorded her parts in Nashville. However, they couldn’t understand some of her words because it was too Southern, so they all went to New York to record the song together.

Also during her stop by the show, she shared that she just celebrated her 25th Birthday down in Mexico with some friends. And her husband, Morgan Evans, got her a wine subscription to her favorite wine — Prisoner.
