Carrie Underwood’s Husband Possibly Releasing New Music

Mike Fisher, country music superstar? That’s the question fans were left asking when Carrie Underwood’s husband took to social media this week with a surprise message.

The retired NHL player posted a photo of himself singing in the recording studio, but the caption was even more surprising! “I know you guys have been waiting a long time,” Mike wrote, “but new music is on the way!! Stay tuned!”

While some fans were left befuddled, others recalled the time Carrie caught Mike singing Garth Brooks’ “The River” in the car. That post reached Garth himself, leading the country legend to invite Mike to sing with him on stage during his Nashville concert.

While Isaiah’s dad didn’t take Garth up on that offer, he did agree to film a video singing with Garth for social media. “How is it that my hubby, @mfisher1212 gets to sing with THE @garthbrooks before I do?” Carrie captioned the clip at the time. “As payback, I think I’ll try to see if Wayne Gretzky wants to play a pick up hockey game sometime!”

Has the superstar collaboration gone to Mike’s head? Is he ready to release his own music? Only time will tell.

Carrie, meanwhile, just released her new album Cry Pretty and is gearing up for The Cry Pretty 360 Tour in 2019.
