Cody Alan recently caught up with Grammy-winning country starlet, Maren Morris.
Morris has several highly notated accolades under her belt and will be honored during the 2018 CMT ‘Artists of the Year’ ceremony on Oct. 17th. This year, the CMT ‘Artists of the Year’ gala is particularly special and will recognize female acts that have made incredible impacts on the genre.
The honoree lineup this year is the definition of squad goals and also features country superstars, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Hillary Scott, Kelsea Ballerini, and Little Big Town‘s Karen Fairchild, and Kimberly Schlapman.
Morris keeps good company and is no stranger to rising through the ranks of hot lists and music charts in both country and pop. So, when asked about her collaboration on “The Middle” with Zedd, she took it as an opportunity to state where her roots lie and testify that “good music, is good music.”
