Alan Jackson has spoken out about the tragic death of son-in-law Ben Selecman.
The country music legend took to Instagram to react to the passing of Mr. Selecman, who died September 12 after sustaining injuries during a boating accident in Jupiter, Florida.
“It’s with grateful hearts that Denise and I want to thank our friends and fans for the outpouring of love and prayers during the hospitalization and ultimate passing of our son in law, Ben Selecman.” The “Livin’ on Love” singer adds the late Nashville attorney was “a Southern boy who loved hunting and fishing and just being outdoors,” writing he had a “childlike enthusiasm for each new day.” Mr. Selecman married Alan’s daughter, Mattie, in October of 2017 in Franklin, Tennessee. “
He was the godly young man that Denise had always prayed for for Mattie. Ben we love you. Rest In Peace until we see you again.” He was 28.
