Rascal Flatts Share New Song “Back To Life” (LISTEN)

Rascal Flatts are back! Back to life that is. The band has returned with brand new music via their new single “Back To Life,” which follows their 2017 album Back to Us.

“Back To Life” was written by Cary Barlowe, Niko Moon, Dan + Shay‘s Shay Mooney, Fred Wilhelm, and produced by Jay Demarcus and Rascal Flatts. The song is about that one special person in your life who can always bring out the best in you in any situation. They sing in the chorus, “My dreams come alive when I wake up and look in her eyes/ She brings me back to life, oh yes she does/ And I don’t wanna think about where I would be without her, oh.”

In a press release, the band’s Gary LeVox said of the song, “The first moment we heard this song, we knew it was meant for us. There are so many little things that add up to making someone so uniquely special to you, and this song captures that love and conveys all the good feelings that come along with it. We’re at an exciting point in our careers, and we’re fortunate to be able to just focus on making and releasing music that speaks to us and hopefully resonates with the fans.”

The guys say that “Back To Life” is also reflective of how they feel about their own wives, especially when they sing lyrics like “Taking my hand, pulling me up when I’m going under.” LeVox recently told Billboard of the personal connection to the track, “That’s how we look at our wives, as just being the anchors, and our moms. They’re the ones that keep us from going under half the time.”

Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus also tells Billboard of the single, “It’s a pretty empowering song for women to let them know how much power they really have when it comes to being a support system for their husbands, and how much life they can bring to us whenever we’re going through dark times.”
