Firefighters are always making sacrifices to serve communities. Sometimes those sacrifices happen in their personal lives, like with Jeremy Bourasa.
Bourasa and his bride Krista had lost their venue weeks before their wedding was supposed to happen. This made them make the decision to move their wedding ceremony to the fire station where Bourasa serves. Shortly after the ceremony and during photos, the alarm sounded. Bourasa took off his wedding clothes, put on his turnout gear and was out the door to serve a house fire right in the middle of his wedding.
His new wife told him to go ahead and go, to go help the other men and come back when he could. This is true love AND a hero story if we’ve ever seen one!
