Garrett Johnson isn’t a starter for the Tennessee Volunteers. He also isn’t an NFL prospect at this point. Johnson is a walk-on junior defensive back player for the team. However, despite the smaller names, Johnson is the one to go above and beyond to help those who need it.
While walking to get some food in Germantown, Tennessee, he saw a homeless man struggling to walk because of the shoes he was wearing. This sight made Johnson want to help, he went and purchased two pairs of brand new shoes for the man. He even helped him put them on his feet.
I walked to the strip to get food and a homeless man (Lala) couldn’t walk because his feet were hurting from the torn shoes he had on. I told him I would come back and 15 mins later I did. Don’t know those people but I do care. Love. #GBO pic.twitter.com/STDaiXiUkX

While a video was filmed of Johnson doing this, he was quick to note that he will continue to do random acts of kindness on and off the camera. He also mentioned that “this particular instance was an opportunity to shed light on how a simple act of kindness can impact someone.”
For those that know me personally, know I have done and will continue random acts of kindness on and off camera. This particular instance was an opportunity to shed light on how a simple act of kindness can impact someone. Let’s spread love and positivity more often ❤️.
