Amy Gets Emotional Over Song that Reminds Her of Her Mother

Amy lost her mother to her battle with cancer in 2014. Her mother Judy was the inspiration behind the #PIMPINJOY movement to be “Pimpin joy like Judy.” Amy always shares that she misses her mother, but definitely more during her new moments of motherhood.

Recently, Amy was shopping and heard a song come over the speakers that stopped her in her tracks. The song was Ed Sheeran’s “Supermarket Flowers.” Looking at the lyrics of the song, one can imagine the song is meant for someone who lost a loved one. The lyrics read,

“So I’ll sing Hallelujah // You were an angel in the shape of my mum // When I fell down you’d be there holding me up // Spread your wings as you go // And when God takes you back we’ll say Hallelujah // You’re home”

Amy shared the song during the Bobby Bones Show where she broke down in tears how much it meant to have the song come over the speakers.
