Simon Cowell Wants Garth Brooks to Write a Song For ‘AGT’ Semi-Finalist

As the America’s Got Talent season 13 finale creeps closer, Simon Cowell is pushing hard for one of his favorites to win the $1 million prize. On Tuesday (September 4), Michael Ketterer sang a rendition of Miley Cyrus’ “When I Look at You” that absolutely floored the typically ice cold judge.

“You’re an extraordinary human being, Michael,” Cowell gushed before calling out a favor to one of country’s biggest stars. “I have to tell you. I’m going to send a shout-out to somebody right now, and that person is Garth Brooks. Garth, if you’re watching the show, please write Michael a song for the final if he makes it into the final. I just have this feeling about you two having a connection. I hope he gets this message because I want to see you in the final with a killer song to make your dreams come true, Michael. I really want it to happen. You deserve it.”

Cowell has been championing Ketterer since day one, gifting the singer and father of six his golden buzzer. His performance last week brought the judge to tears (and that’s no easy feat).

So will we see a cameo from Garth in the finale? We’ll just have to wait and see. The AGT semi-finals continue next Tuesday (September 14), where 10 more contestants will compete for a spot in the finals, which will air on September 18.
