Are Jennifer Aniston and Dolly Parton Recording a Song Together?

Note to self: Be careful what you joke about when in the company of Dolly Parton.

During a recent trip to The Ellen DeGeneres ShowJennifer Aniston chatted about her upcoming movie, Dumplin’, and more specifically the music that may be accompanying it.

Parton will be contributing music to the film, and during a recent dinner party Aniston made a joke about the two recording together.

“I said, ‘I would love to be on one of those tracks,'” she explained to Ellen. “I was sort of kidding. Literally, last week we got an email form Sony with the schedule for the recordings and there’s Jen and Dolly 12-1:30 on Tuesday. I was like, ‘This has got to be a joke!'”

“I’m not singing with Dolly Parton on an album that’s going to be heard by hopefully millions of people!” she continued. “I’m still up in the air of whether or not I should do it. I don’t know if I’m doing it.”

But Ellen sang a different tune. “You can’t turn her down,” the television host said bluntly before adding, “You’re going to do it.”

Aniston then asked the audience if she should do it, and of course the response was deafening applause. So here’s to hoping we hear a Jennifer/Dolly duet sometime soon!
