Bobby Bones doesn’t really have a bucket list, but if he did this would be on it. Bones threw the first pitch out at the Chicago Cubs vs. Washington Nationals game on Saturday (August 11).
The pitch coincided with a big announcement that Bones radio show “The Bobby Bones Show” was added to the lineup on the Big 955 Chicago. Alongside on the trip with Bones, Rod Phillips of iHeartCountry and his Step-father Arkansas Keith. Country artists Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd were also in the stands cheering on Bones.
Bones also noted that before the pitch happened, he was almost thrown out of the field because of a competing radio station who didn’t want him to throw out the pitch. However, things got sorted out & Bones didn’t have any issues with the big moment.
With Arkansas Keith watching the Cubs today. Great day!

Bones documented the first pitch with a video on his Instagram saying,
“First pitch at Wrigley. Just tossed the strike in there gently. Not trying to strike out the side! Loved it: thanks Cubs. Lifelong fan!”
