Carrie Underwood Marks Return To WE Fest 2018 With Dazzling Showcase

Carrie Underwood celebrated her long-awaited return to the Soo Pass Ranch as the opening night headliner at WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota Thursday night (August 2). Her first appearance at the country music festival in five years, the 36-year-old singer wowed a massive crowd with a 90-minute set of her greatest No. 1 hits. With a setlist of 21 fan favorites, the seven-time Grammy winner sparked a crowd-wide singalong with live performances of popular tracks like “Before He Cheats” and “(I Don’t Even Know My) Last Name.”

After belting savior song “Jesus Take the Wheel” and her spirited Winter Olympics and Super Bowl anthem “The Champion,” Underwood put her musicianship on full display when she and her bandmate broke out their harmonicas for a lively rendition of “Choctaw County Affair” and dazzled with her guitar during “Smoke Break.”

The festival will conclude this Saturday (August 4), with acts like Chris Young and Jason Aldean slated to close out the event.
