On August 3rd at around 1:30 a.m., police observed a vehicle speeding eastbound along Jackson Boulevard. As the officer turned around and activated their lights and sirens, the white, four-door passenger vehicle was seen making an abrupt turn onto 2nd Avenue. The vehicle was pursued for several blocks before the officer lost sight of the car and terminated the pursuit. Several minutes later, dispatch advised they had received a report of a similar vehicle spotted in the parking lot at 2326 Canyon Lake Drive. The reporting party had stated they had heard squealing tires before seeing the vehicle come to a stop in the parking lot and a tall male driver exit the car and run northbound. The suspect was not located and police continue to investigate.
