8-year-old Larriah’s birthday party was upsetting when none of her friends could come to celebrate.
That’s when August Police Department received a Facebook message from Angelique Binns asking if officers could sign a birthday card for their young daughter after what happened. The mother wanted to do this to show her daughter that people care.
Instead, the police department decided to throw her a surprise birthday party at her grandmother’s house. They showed up with balloons and a birthday cake as well as a card signed by the department and gift cards from Five Below – her favorite store!
