The victim and suspect in a shooting death have been identified. 19 year old Ty Scott of Keystone died from a single gunshot wound Wednesday, June 13, 2018. The shooting was at a residence in the 400 block of 1st Street in Keystone. 18 year old Maxton Pfeiffer of Rapid City was arrested and charged with first degree manslaughter.
This is an ongoing investigation to determine the facts surrounding the death. The case has been referred to the Pennington County States Attorney’s Office. Detectives from the Rapid City Police Department and Investigators from the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office are handling the investigation.
