Niall Horan & Maren Morris Unveil Acoustic Version Of ‘Seeing Blind’

Niall Horan surprised fans on Tuesday (June 5) when he delivered an acoustic rendition of “Seeing Blind,” his duet with Maren Morris off his 2017 album, Flicker, and its accompanying music video is the perfect reminder of their on-tour chemistry.

Shot in Nashville, Tennessee, the three-minute clip for the country-pop track sees the two stars jamming inside of a recording studio. It’s overlayed with a sepia tone to match the laid-back feel of the track and shows just how well these tour partners have connected with one another. Asked how the duet arrived in the first place, Nial previously admitted that all it took was a simple inquiry. “I couldn’t believe it happened to be honest,” he said. “I kinda chanced my arm. I just sent her a song that I’d written and asked would she jump on it and she wrote back saying that she would love to. So I was blown away by that!”

Horan’s newly-reimagined version of “Seeing Blind” follows the release of his single, “On the Loose,” which was released in February.

Morris has been on the road with the former One Direction star for his “Flicker World Tour” and is scheduled to open up for the remainder of the worldwide venture. The trek is set to hit Latin America, the United States, and Canada throughout the summer. Morris’ latest cross-genre move comes after scoring a pop hit with “The Middle,” her collaboration with Zedd and Grey. Prior to making its way in her hands, names like Camila CabelloDemi LovatoLauren JaureguiBebe RexhaCarly Rae Jepsen and more had recorded the track.
