Darius Rucker took to the spotlight this week on the American Idol finale.
The country star joined finalist Caleb Lee Hutchinson on stage to perform his smash “Wagon Wheel.”
Darius described the Dallas, Georgia, native’s vocal prowess as an “old-school voice.”
“It’s so inspiring to see how much talent, passion and ambition these contestants have,” he says. “I loved being a part of Caleb’s experience on American Idol.”
Caleb ultimately fell short of the American Idol title, losing to girlfriend Maddie Poppe. As the winner, Maddie now signs a record deal with Hollywood Records.
