Lady Antebellum Responds to National Anthem Flub

Lady Antebellum have each other’s backs, and it’s never been more clear than during a recent performance of the National Anthem.

The country trio sung “The Star-Spangled Banner” Saturday night (May 5) during Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Playoff series featuring the Nashville Predators and the Winnipeg Jets, and one wrong line by the group’s Charles Kelley sent bandmate Hillary Scott to the rescue.

“Welp. We’re human too y’all,” Lady A tweeted afterwards. “We’re still rooting for ya Preds!!! #smashville”

The trio finished strong, earning massive praise from the crowd at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. But despite Lady Antebellem’s good luck tweet, the Predators lost to the Jets 6-2.

Game 6 of the series, a do-or-die for the Predators, happens Monday night in Winnipeg.
