On May 5th at around 9:10 p.m., police were dispatched to 2783 Deadwood Avenue for a report of a vehicle rollover in the area. On arrival, police located the Chevrolet Tahoe, which had rolled into the ditch near the eastbound onramp to Interstate-90. Police made contact with the driver, identified as 34-year-old Ryan King of Rapid City, and noted the smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. According to witnesses, King was spinning ‘cookies’ along Deadwood Avenue just prior to rolling the vehicle. Following a DUI investigation, King was determined to be too intoxicated to operate a motor vehicle. He was placed under arrest for DUI, Driving Under Revocation, and No Proof of Insurance.
