When Trent Harmon was a contestant on American Idol, he built his fan base by singing other people’s songs. Now, having spent the last year writing tons of songs, like his latest single, “You Got ‘Em All,” and honing his craft as a songwriter, Trent says, “Now I’m doing guitar pulls with these great songwriters. You know, some of the best songwriters of our time are in the country format right now, as they always have been. But now I’m getting to sing some of my own songs and it’s kind of scary sometimes to think man, just the other day this was an idea, now I’m about to sing it on stage with these people that have had a string of number ones. That’s really, really gratifying too.”
Many of the songs that Trent wrote over the last year will be featured on his brand new album, also called You Got ‘Em All, which will be released on May 18th.
