Carrie Underwood Shares Update Since Her Big Fall

The world has been patiently waiting for Carrie Underwood to release new music as well as truly comeback since her big fall in 2017 that broke her wrist and caused her to get several stitches.
She has been slowly making her way back to social media and posting photos, but today (April 10) she released the title of her new single “Cry Pretty” set to release Wednesday, April 11th.

Good morning! Just a couple of updates to share with you…???? smarturl.it/o9yuge

Along with the title and cover image, Underwood shared an update with her fans via her website. Some of the most notable mentions in the note include an update on her health, new music, her new single + an upcoming live performance:

  • First off, physically, I’m doing pretty darn good these days! My wrist is almost back to normal, about 90% there…and the docs say that last 10% will come in time. And my face has been healing pretty nicely as well. I definitely feel more like myself than I have in a while.
  • The other thing I’ve been up to over the past few months is of course making new music. I’ve been in the studio writing and singing a TON, but I’ve also been able to be creative in a way that I’ve never been before, which has been very fulfilling and empowering.
  • It’s called “Cry Pretty” and I wrote it with three incredible women: Hillary Lindsey, Liz Rose, and Lori McKenna, who also write under the name Love Junkies.
  • I’ll be performing it live on the ACM Awards this weekend, so I hope you’ll all tune in to see it!

We’re so happy to have Underwood back and feeling good! Read her full update here.
