Crash

On April 5th at around 12:35 a.m., an officer was westbound on Main Street approaching the intersection of East Boulevard. As the officer attempted to make his way through the intersection, a vehicle northbound on East Boulevard ran the red light at the intersection. The officer did not have enough time to brake, and ended up colliding with the vehicle. Neither the officer, nor the driver of the passenger vehicle were significantly injured. The driver was cited for the Stoplight Violation and for No Proof of Insurance.

Thankfully, no one was significantly hurt in this crash. This incident should serve as a reminder that our officers are on the road 24/7. For their safety and the safety of others, we need all motorists to pay attention to their surroundings and be attentive drivers.
