I love Pandas

So, my obsession with pandas began when I was around 8 years old. My neighbor, who baby sat me gave me at that time seemed like the biggest stuffed animal every, a panda that was 3 feet tall. I named him Teddy Pan and he became my partner in crime. Many a times was he tied to the back of my teal banana seat bicycle and he even jumped from the roof of our home a couple times. Teddy Pan was awesome and my first panda, which then led to me collecting. From hundreds of stuffed pandas to glass figurines and posters if it had a panda on it, I had it.

I was also pretty convinced growing up that I could save the pandas from extinction, I’ll be honest though, haven’t been able to chase that dream expect for a few donations to the World Wildlife Federation.

It was about six years ago when I finally was able to see a panda too, it was at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute. I’ll be honest, I cried, they were happy tears though. They are just about as adorable as a stuffed animal as they are in real life. That is a moment in time I WILL NEVER FORGET! Now, my panda bucket list consists of traveling to China to hold a panda, who wouldn’t want that?

I’m also pretty sure pandas are my spirit animal too, they love to sleep, eat and have fun- sounds like me! So, again I wish you a Happy Panda Day and hopefully this video will bring a smile to you face!
