Last week’s school shooting in Florida hit close to home for Tim McGraw.
One of his associates is a friend of teacher Scott Beigel, who lost his life in the massacre. Tim wrote on Twitter, “A true hero who lost his life protecting the children. I’m deeply moved by these students who are lifting their voices, challenging us to listen, learn, and make real changes.”
I learned one of the teachers at Stoneman Douglas, Scott Beigel, was a friend of one of my associates. A true hero who lost his life protecting the children. A few years ago, Tim did a fundraising concert for Sandy Hook Promise, an organization to stop gun violence formed by the parents of the children who died at the school in 2012.
