So, another great random National Holiday- National Love Your Pet Day! First off, this celebration is every day for me, because you all know how much I love Dude and Stewie my two cats. As I always say, they are my 4 legged kids. Plus they are the perfect movie watching buddies so if you are looking for some entertainment and some down time with the pets today, take a look at my Top 5 Animal Movies. I’ll also be ranking them by how much you will want to cuddle with your pet…you know, the hugs and loves you torture your animals with…you know, the hug that gives this look.
5. “My Side Of The Mountain” – Classic for sure and I remember first reading the book. This movie will fill the urge for the love of wild animals and maybe make you question, why don’t you have a falcon still. Wait only me? 🙂 I give this movie at 6 out of 10 squeezes.
4. “War Horse”- Sorry to toy with your emotions right off the bat, but man, what a movie! Get out the tissues and be ready to shed some tears. On a scale of pet cuddles I give this 8 out of 10 squeezes.
3. “Oliver & Company” – One of my favorites of all time. I actually named my very first cat after Oliver in this movie, even though my Oliver was black and white. This movie though is a keeper. I give this movie 9 out of 10 squeezes. Nothing like a girl and her cat.
2. “Lady and the Tramp”- Another classic movie with dogs and cats galore. I love the siamese cats in this movie but Lady is also adorable as ever. This movie gets 9 out of 10 squeezes.
1. “Where The Red Fern Grown” – I think that says enough..the title alone chokes me up but what a wonderful story. This movie gets 10 out of 10 squeezes for sure. It will also help if your pet has thick fur, can utilize them as a tissue too. Dude is quite absorbent…lol.
