Sam Hunt has a new look.
The country megastar showed up to an event this week in Nashville looking fresh-faced and unrecognizable.
During a Facebook Live stream to announce Luke Bryan’s new What Makes You Country XL Tour, Sam debuted his new clean-shaven look, a decision the “Body Like a Back Road” singer explains was made on whim.
“For the past couple of years when it gets cold, I like to grow a little facial hair,” Sam says. “There was this cool little barber shop in the hotel I was staying in, downstairs, and he was giving those straight razor shaves and I had never had one done, so I [shaved] it off.”
Sam’s fresh face comes just before he’s set to hit the recording studio to make fresh tunes. He’ll re-enter the studio to record new music before he tours this summer with Luke.
“I’m hitting it hard before we get out on the road,” Sam says. “So I plan on having new music out a month or two before we strike out and hit the road, where I may not have as much time to write.”
Sam joins Jon Pardi, Morgan Wallen and Carly Pearce on Luke’s What Makes You Country XL Tour of stadiums beginning May 31st at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
