Grammy Awards: Chris Stapleton Leads Country Wins

“Music’s Biggest Night” was a big night for Chris Stapleton.

The country superstar took home three of the four Grammy Awards reserved for country artists and performed with the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Emmylou Harris.

Before his and Emmylou’s performance of Tom Petty’s “Wildflowers” to honor the artists who passed away last year, Chris snagged Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song for “Either Way” and “Broken Halos,” respectively, in the Grammy’s pre-telecast ceremony.

During the show, he also won Best Country Album for From A Room: Volume 1.

“This is a wonderful room to be in tonight. We’re so proud,” Chris said in his acceptance speech. “We always try to make great records, as good as we can, and I guess this is a testament to that. It’s a real joy to get to make music.”

Little Big Town also were big winners, earning the trophy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Better Man,” while Reba was recognized in the Best Roots Gospel Album category for her latest album Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope.

Little Big Town also performed as did Eric Church alongside nominees Maren Morris and Brothers Osborne in a tribute to the concert fans who died in the Manchester Arena bombing in England and Route 91Harvest festival in Las Vegas.
