Jo’s Grammy Recap

The 60th Grammy’s took place last night in iconic New York City. The crowd was packed with deserving and talented artists from around the world and country music sure did represent. So, what performances stood out to me..here are my top 3.

#3. Performance by Maren Morris, Eric Church and Brothers Osborne..the tribute to those lost at the Route 91 Festival in Vegas.

#2. James Corden and his “Subway Car Pool Karaoke” which brought some humor to the event.

#1. Chris Stapleton & Emmylou Harris covering Tom Petty’s classic “Wildflowers.” Having two mega talents take this on was amazing!

Was there a moment that stood out to you? Let me know. I’ll be honest there were a lot of moments going..who is this, what are they saying? Yep, I’ve reached that age where I can’t pronounce the newer artists..

As for my picks, I did decent.

Best Country Solo Performance- Chris Stapleton- I WAS RIGHT!

Best Country Duo/Group Performance- My Pick- “It Ain’t My Fault” by Brothers Osborne..Winner- “Better Man” Little Big Town- Let me tell ya, I thought for sure Brothers Osborne had it in the bag, but welp, I was wrong.

Best Country Song- My Pick- “Better Man”- I thought it was a given..I mean Taylor Swift, Little Big Town, all of them are massive artists. I should have gone with my man though, Chris Stapleton cause he is the MAN!

Best Country Album- “From a Room: Volume 1” Chris Stapleton…I WAS RIGHT! Again, because Chris Stapleton is the man.
