Burglary

On July 17th at around 4:10 a.m., police were dispatched to 128 E. Saint Joseph Street for a burglary alarm. On arrival, police made contact with a male, identified as 37-year-old Warren Hotchkiss of Rapid City, dressed in all black. A search of his person turned up a knife covered in drywall dust, and his duffel bag contained a variety of tools commonly used in burglaries. Police observed damage to the door of the business and also to a coin machine on the wall. Hotchkiss was placed under arrest for Possession of Burglary Tools, Intentional Damage to Property, and Attempted Commission of a Crime. He was transported to the Pennington County Jail.
