“The Breakfast Club,” “The Princess Bride,” Among 2016's Library of Congress List

Universal Pictures – 1985(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden announced today the annual selection of 25 motion pictures that have been inducted into the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress because of their cultural, historic or aesthetic importance.

This year’s selections include the animated Disney classic The Lion King, the beloved romantic comedy The Princess Bride, and the seminal ’80s comedy The Breakfast Club.

Here is the Library of Congress’ Class of in 2016 for inclusion in the National Film Registry:
