Marvel – 2016(NEW YORK) — Just days after again naming Johnny Depp as the Most Overpaid Actor in Hollywood, Forbes declares Chris Evans again at the top of its list of the actors who deliver the most box office bang for their buck.
Thanks to the blockbuster performances of his movies including Captain America: Civil War, Evans returned an average $135.80 at the box office for every $1 he was paid in salary.
Evans’ Marvel movie buddies Scarlett Johansson, Chris Pratt, and Robert Downey Jr. also made the list: Pratt, high from the sky-high returns of movies including Jurassic World and The Magnificent Seven, made it to the second slot, returning $125.40 for each $1 paid; Johannson earned $88.60 for each $1 paid, good enough for #3, and Downey, the highest paid actor in Hollywood, $18.40 for every $1. Jennifer Lawrence, who also starred in a Marvel movie series — albeit one released by Fox, not Disney like the Avengers movies — ranked ninth, with $17.70 for every dollar.
