Warner Bros.,Legendary Pictures/Chuck Zlotnick(LOS ANGELES) — Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures have released the newest trailer for what they hope will be a franchise reboot: the star-studded Kong: Skull Island.

The movie, which takes place in 1971 and stars Samuel L Jackson, Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman and John C. Reilly, reportedly centers on the origin of King Kong, the giant ape who famously scaled the Empire State Building and the World Trade Center at various points in cinematic history.

This time around, Jackson plays the head of a military unit tasked with escorting an team of explorers to a hidded island “where myth and science meet,” to try to find proof of the legendary giant gorilla.

They find Kong, but soon find out the hard way that he’s not the most dangerous creature on the island.
