Trump Supporter Stephen Baldwin on Donald's Win; Brother Alec's Imitation

ABC/Fred Lee(NEW YORK) — While Alec Baldwin’s been spoofing candidate-turned President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, his brother Stephen Baldwin has been a Trump supporter since day one.  Or, as the younger Baldwin laughed to Good Morning America Thursday, it’s been “Me and Scott Baio, baby!”

On SNL, Alec-as-Trump referred to Stephen as “the best Baldwin brother,” in reference to the relative lack of starpower Trump had in his corner.  As you might expect, the disagreement has led to many, er, “interesting” family conversations.

“I keep having this recurring nightmare every Saturday night that my big brother is going to make fun of Mr. Trump!” Baldwin laughed.

He then added to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan, “I had a fun conversation with Alec a couple weeks back … he said, ‘So your boy’s basically kind of handing us this election, don’t you think?,’ and I went, ‘I got a funny feeling you need to be more prepared for a Trump president than I do a Hillary [Clinton] president.'”

Baldwin also revealed that he spent the night at a Trump hotel Wednesday night, and witnessed the protests against the candidate.

“It really freaked me out because I can be all happy or excited about the outcome, but then it was like a wave of reality to see there’s folks out there that still don’t agree with all this,” Baldwin said.

“[I] saw a lot of young people out there that you can see, it was a lot of the messaging from the media that was driving their anger, and I’m just going to be praying that everybody comes together and really gives Mr. Trump an opportunity to do the right thing and create the change for even those people who doubted him.”

He added: “…That decision has been made. Now we have to do our best to just continue to positively try to do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
