Megyn Kelly: “Love Him or Hate Him,” President-Elect Trump “Needs Our Prayers”

ABC/Lorenzo Bevilaqua(NEW YORK) — After last night’s marathon election coverage, Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly was still able to make a previously-scheduled appearance opposite Kelly Ripa as guest co-host on Live with Kelly on Wednesday morning.  While there, she gave her thoughts on the results.

The Kelly File host became a central character in the fractious election season for her spats with President-elect Donald J. Trump, both in her role as a debate moderator, and in subsequent comments he made about her on the campaign trail.

“Love him or hate him,” Megyn said on Live with Kelly, “he’s the president-elect of our country and the one thing he needs more than anything else right now is our prayers, because he has a lot to deal with.”

Kelly added, diplomatically, “One of the great things that makes us great is that we go through this electoral process, we get battered and bruised, but at the end of it, we do accept the result, we get behind our president.”

“We can fight still, there can be disagreements on policy, but we all share the same basic core values as Americans,” she continued, to applause from the studio audience. “And that’s what I think we should focus on, I think.”
