In an episode titled “Who’s Better than Us,” James’ character gets jealous when he hears how happy his former patrol partner on the police force is with his new rookie sidekick — played by former UFC fighter Chris Weidman — and sets out to show his old friend what he’s missing.
James is no stranger to the UFC, having starred in the teacher-turned-MMA fighter comedy Here Comes the Boom.
Sandler also appeared on James’ other series, The King of Queens, and the two starred in the movie comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry in 2007.
Sandler’s episode airs next Monday.
