Spike – 2016(LOS ANGELES) — Laverne Cox just got inducted into the Bey-hive, thanks to her recent Destiny’s Child performance.
Cox, who performed on Spike TV‘s Lip Sync Battle last week, stunned the crowd with her rendition of Destiny’s Child’s “Lose My Breath,” which also caught Beyonce’s eye. Cox received a hand-written “Thank You” card and flowers from Bey, which she then shared with her fans on Instagram.
“When you are at work on #Doubt your new cbs legal drama premiering in 2017 and get flowers and a hand written card from the Queen Bey herself @beyonce,” Cox started her caption. “Thank you Beyonce for such a thoughtful gesture. You didn’t have to but it means so much that you did.”
She continued, “I am so happy you enjoyed the#LipSyncBattle tribute to Destiny’s Child. You know I live for everything you do. EVERYTHING!! Thank you, thank you thank you!!!!”
The Orange Is the New Black star then thanked her team for documenting the moment and “holding her up” as she became emotional from receiving such a thoughtful gift from the pop star.
“Wow, what a day! God is Good!!” she wrote.
Cox’s new CBS legal drama, Doubt, is set to premiere in 2017.
