On October 30th around 7:55 p.m., police responded to the 800 block of Wood Avenue for a report of an accident involving a minivan and a motorcycle. On arrival, police spoke to several witnesses. They told police they watched a minivan back out of the driveway of 811 Wood Avenue. In the process of backing out, the minivan struck and tipped over a motorcycle that was parked on the east side of the street. The minivan then pulled back into the driveway and the occupants went back inside of the residence. After further investigation, police identified the driver as 33-year-old Monica Lame of Rapid City. Police made contact with Lame at the residence. Following a DUI investigation, Lame was placed under arrest for DUI, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Unsafe Backing, and No Proof of Insurance.
