(NEW YORK) — While at Good Morning America chatting with Michael Strahan about his new movie The Magnificent Seven, Chris Pratt shared some love for another huge project, the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy.
A lot of love, actually. Bordering on too much, perhaps.
“I can’t say much, but it’s going to be the greatest spectacle movie of all time,” before allowing, “I don’t want to oversell it.”
With his tongue planted in cheek, Pratt said, not only will Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 be better than, “all movies up till now,” but “also all movies extended forward. Never will there ever be anything like this again — so that’s cool,” he added, mock-humbly.
Pratt said the sequel, “It picks up a couple of months after the events of the first movie and all the characters [are] back,” adding only, “Kurt Russell’s also going to be in part two and the soundtrack is off the chain.
It has already been confirmed that Russell will play Ego, the Living Planet, the long-lost father of Pratt’s character Peter Quill/Star-Lord.
The film, which also stars Denzel Washington, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Ethan Hawke, opens Friday.
