Kevin Mazur/WireImage(CONCORD, NC) — A North Carolina couple bought what they believe is an autographed Michael Jackson Bad cassette tape for 25 cents at a local thrift shop.

Amber and Michael Hernon, of Concord, were stunned when they spotted what they think is the singer’s signature inside the cover.

“At first when I opened it, I couldn’t say anything. Just went blank,” Amber told ABC News of their discovery at Heavenly Treasures, a consignment shop they frequent. “Then I told Michael it was signed, and gauging my reaction, he knew I was serious.”

They first noticed the autograph after opening up the cassette’s cover to show pictures of Jackson’s dance moves to Amber’s 10-year-old son, who is a huge fan.

Although the signature looks identical to the King of Pop’s based on what they’ve seen on the Internet, the couple doesn’t “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’,” so they’d get it authenticated if they ever plan to sell — which isn’t likely.

“If we were going to sell it, we would get the proof that it’s real,” Amber explained. “We have no intentions of selling it. We just think it’s a great story for our children and future grandchildren.”
