In an interview with The Telegraph, Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery, who played Lady Mary Crawley, teased that the beloved series may be followed by a film.

“I think there is potential for a film,” she told the British newspaper. “That is something I would wholeheartedly consider, so we will see. It may not be over yet.”

In the meantime, Dockery said she keeps in touch with her former cast members, like Laura Carmichael.

“The thing that I miss the most are my cast members,” she said of life post-Downton. “But we are all still very close.”

While fans eagerly wait to see if a Downton Abbey film will come to fruition, Dockery is taking on a new role in the upcoming TNT series Good Behavior.

Downton Abbey was an incredible journey for six years and we were very sad to say goodbye,” Dockery told The Telegraph. “But it was the right time and it was very exciting actually leaving and going on to something like this and a whole new path in my career.”
