Tony Bennett Performs at 50th-Anniversary Gala for Caesars Palace

Denise Truscello/Getty Images for Caesars Palace(LAS VEGAS) — Tony Bennett helped Caesars Palace in Las Vegas celebrate its 50th anniversary on Saturday.

Tony, who Caesars Palace says is the only entertainer to be offered a lifetime contract to perform at the resort, headlined the gala event and received a Caesars Palace Icon Award.

The host for the evening, Howie Mandel, recognized Tony’s recent 90th birthday by bringing out a giant cake.

J-Lo, whose Vegas residency is presented by Caesars, was on hand for the event, which began with a musical number featuring Wayne Newton,Donny and Marie Osmond, and Matt Goss performing “Viva Las Vegas” on stage together.

The Righteous Brothers were at the gala, too, to sing “Time of Your Life” and “You Lost That Lovin’ Feeling.”

Caesars honored its past and present performers during the gala. Aside from Tony, Calvin Harris, a.k.a.Taylor Swift’s ex, Celine Dion and Elton John were among the celebs who accepted an Icon Award — the latter two via video.
